San Grato Botanic Park

Visit the San Grato Botanic Park and discover a unique natural and ornamental environment.

Five themed paths - botanical, relaxing, panoramic, artistic and fairy-tale – traverse the large azalea and rhododendron bushes, with boards providing useful information. In April and May, the backdrop of flowering shrubs creates a riot of colour and scents.
An easily accessible play area in the centre of the park offers fun and games for children and adults. The Ristorante San Grato with its panoramic terrace caters for both day-trippers and food connoisseurs.

Playground in the Park

An easily accessible playground, located at the centre of the park, offering fun and games for children and adults alike. Here you find a recreational infrastructure with “spring swings,” carousel, slide, swing, exciting castle and adventurous flying fox.

The playground was completely renewed in 2012.

San Grato Restaurant

With its panoramic terrace, the San Grato Restaurant is designed to appease appetites of both Sunday hikers as well as refined gourmets. Located in a marvellous spot in the same botanical gardens, the restaurant lies above Carona and offers fantastic views over Lake Lugano.
