Season tickets and prices for Northern Switzerland

Tarifverbund A-Welle

A-Welle has operated as an integrated fare network since 12 December 2009. The A-Welle network zone fare applies to single tickets, day passes and multiple journey cards, and season tickets. You choose a number of zones rather than a particular route. Within the chosen zones you can use all of the transport companies that belong to the network, as often as you wish.

Network area

The integrated fare network area extends from the Solothurn district of Thal (from Matzendorf) via Aarau to Spreitenbach. The most northerly towns in the integrated fare network area are Tecknau, Koblenz and Kaiseraugst. In the south, the municipalities of Brittnau, Menziken and Oberrüti form the border of the network. You can use all rail and PostBus routes, as well as trams and buses from 14 transport companies in towns and in the countryside. The ticket range includes single tickets, multiple-journey cards, season tickets and other great value offers. For detailed information about prices and zones, go to Additional Links.

Network area

The Libero network area extends across Berne and Solothurn and their surrounding areas, Upper Aargau and the whole Emmental region.

Northwestern Switzerland integrated fare network

The core element of the TNW is the U season ticket, which is valid in the whole network area with no spatial or time restrictions and can also be used by other persons. The prices for single tickets are based on the number of zones travelled. The integrated fare network tickets allow you a free choice of transport within the area of validity.

Integrated fare network area

The TNW includes the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and some areas of the cantons Aargau, Solothurn and Jura, as well as six transport companies.
